Online Attendance Policy
&
Best Practices
Welcome! Please read below for best practices and guidelines for joining us online, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
Where to join from online:
Please create a personal sanctuary from which to attend your online activity, somewhere free from distractions, interruptions, and background noise. It is generally not appropriate to attend an online activity from a moving car, a coffee shop, an airport terminal, or from similar busy and/or public places.
During your online activity, please sit in a comfortable chair with your feet touching the floor or positioned on a pillow on the floor. Swivel chairs, chairs on wheels, and recliners are not suitable for class. Laying down is also not appropriate.
You may wish to have on-hand crayons and paper for some of the activities or to jot down a thought. That said, we do not recommend constant note-taking, as it generally distracts participants from being fully present in class.
How to join online:
The link to join will generally be sent to you in an email after you register. Please check your spam folders if you do not see it.
We find that the most stable connections for online activities are with laptops and desktop computers. Joining from cell phones or tablets is not as ideal, as application functionality is sometimes limited, connectivity drops are more common, and audio quality can be lessened.
If you are using a headset or microphone please test that they are working correctly before joining us online.
Please keep yourself muted when not speaking, as this reduces distractions for other participants.
We ask that you have your video on, so we can see you!
General etiquette and other best-practices:
Be on time! This generally means showing up 15-20 minutes before an activity begins.
Please join in an unaltered state. Being under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or other substances is not appropriate when participating in our activities.
By joining online, you are also agreeing to the following statements:
I understand that this is a spiritual sanctuary. All instruction, counseling, and healings are for my spiritual benefit. They are not intended to replace or substitute for any medical, physical, emotional, or mental treatment or help I may need.
I understand that Deep Roots Healing Arts, Rise and Be Well, and the Redwood Studio are not public spaces, including any and all of their Zoom Activities. By attending, I agree to be recorded, and I acknowledge that I am to be an associate member for the duration of my visit.
I agree to respect the right to privacy of each person attending this activity. I will not share screenshots, images, or personal information of others from this activity on social media, web platforms, or elsewhere.
Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
